Washington comes to town this weekend to remind us all that, whatever our problems are or are perceived to be, some franchises have infinitely worse crap to deal with.
This game should be a walkover, but the 49ers don’t do walkovers. At least not so far this year. Even without them, a win Sunday would give the team a clean 4-0 sweep of the NFC East. Har har hearty har har.
A win would put the Niners at 7-4, either a game ahead of the Seahawks or two games behind Arizona. Those two teams play each other in Seattle this Sunday.
The interesting points about Washington are that their stats (7th passing, 16th rushing, 10th pass defense, 11th rush defense) indicate a team that should be about 5-5 or even 6-4 like the Niners, instead of 3-7. A competitive team, not a joke. How they managed to rise up and beat the Cowboys, in Dallas, is one of the abiding mysteries of the year.
When it comes to Washington, though, everything is about the sideshow. The dysfunction that settled over the franchise when Dan Snyder bought the team in May of 1999. Snyder started a wallboard advertising business when he was 25 and by his 34th birthday, that business was worth a billion in annual revenue. But brilliant in business didn’t translate into brilliant in football. Not by the skin of his very red face. Even the brief return of the great Joe Gibbs couldn’t dent the ineptitude of Snyder’s operation.
If 49er fans are disappointed in the slow pace of Colin Kaepernick’s progress as a QB, it’s nothing compared to Washington’s disillusionment with their QB Robert Griffin. At the beginning of this year, NFL nitpickers considered Washington’s mammoth draft day trade with the Rams as an equal meh for both sides. Since then, the Rams’ youngsters gathered via that trade have begun to make St. Louis a very competitive team. Not so with Griffin, who continues to languish in languishness.
The 49ers have taken a lot of grief this year, but you have to admire their resiliency and the outstanding job our rookie draft class has done filling in for all the wounded or departed starters. Kudos to Jimmie Ward, Carlos Hyde, Marcus Martin, Chris Borland, Bruce Ellington, Dontae Johnson, Aaron Lynch, and the guy who drafted them, Trent Baalke. By all rights, we should be talking about a year lost to an endless stream of injuries. Instead, we’re still in the hunt, however shaky that journey appears to be.
One more unimpressive win, and we head into the Thanksgiving Day brawl with the Seattle Seahawks. Go Niners!
Skeebers- You hit it on the head!
We are what we are this year. This offense is not going to get rolling without an instinctive play caller. The QB is not going to get on a roll without an instinctive play caller. Frank is not going do anything other than what we are seeing without an instinctive play caller. The receivers will continue to not read hot routes without an instinctive play caller. The O-line has already complained about “dumb schemes” as their blocking looks like they need an instinctive play caller. We are what we are. Go 49ers!
“Of the 17 NFL teams with a winning record, only one has been outscored this season: the 49ers (211-212).”
I hate it when the Rams get the better deal in a trade, then I think of their long-term QB and then it’s not so bad.
If I would have said this I would have been lambasted. This is a quote from Greg Roman:
“Point production, obviously, we got to produce more points,” Roman said. “We know that. And when you really look at it, we just had too many negative plays. I got to do a better job of coaching. And we do a better job of executing. There was a lot of things, beyond the point total, that were very, very positive form that game and much-improved from prior games.”
You would have only mentioned the “better job of coaching” aspect and ignored the “better job of executing.”
Romans the one who should be roasted. The absolute shiftiness of the red zone offense was a problem last year. It has gotten worse.
Shittiness, not …….
Not true. I have always said the players need to execute. My point is a coach can call plays to make it easier for the players to execute. Blaming the QB is the eye test alibi that most fans use. The game is a lot more than that. I think it is time fore the Kap haters to form a new hanging posse. You guys can pat each other on the back because in numbers you must be right. Right?
I don’t see any Kap haters, Berg. Most everyone wants him to succeed. That doesn’t mean his shortcomings can’t be discussed.
True. But don’t blame the coach for anything? Right? Isn’t that the tone here? They have been in football so long they can never be wrong. Absolute gods to some. Guess what, the king has no clothes on and I’m the one exposing them.
IMO, our biggest problem is the play calling and not the QB. Last year we started improving when Harbaugh started to change many of the plays going in after the Carolina debacle. This year we are finding that is not enough. When Kap starts getting a clean pocket to throw from like most top rated QBs you’ll see the development. Until then, why is he always under pressure? Some say he holds the ball too long. The same that said Alex checks down too much. So what is it, check down or wait for a play to develop. It’s always the QB to some. How about some better play design. Even our running game sucks. I guess Kap isn’t handing off right. Take away his rushing yards and we don’t run very well. When we do run well we start passing. That is not the QBs fault. We were running well vs the Giants and RoBaugh kept going away from that. I guess that is Kap’s fault.
While most are blaming Kap I say he is carrying this offense. If not for his big plays we would be nothing but stalled drives. The red zone would be the whole field.
Kaepernick holds the ball longer than all but three QBs in the league. And he takes more sacks than any QB in the league when he holds the ball longer than 2.5 seconds. (Kaepernick holds the ball longer than 2.5 seconds on slightly less than half his drop backs)
Every QB can look like a star when he gets no pressure. No pro QB gets that luxury.
The coaching can always improve and so can the play calling but a reasonable observer cannot watch our games and say our offense only needs better plays called.
The guy calling the plays is the same guy that called the plays that had so many saying Alex is much improved under Harbaugh. Aside from that it’s Harbaugh who has injected himself into the play-calling chain to have the final word on what is run. Why isn’t he the object of the furor over the plays being called? If it was Singletary or Nolan in the same spot it would be the HC’s head folks are crying for, not the OC.
Singletary had multiple OC’s and got the job when he looked OK with Martz. After not retaining Martz we chastised Jimmy Raye. He then brought in a spread coach and the offense looked about the same. Process of elimination honed in on Singletary. Easy call.
With Harbaugh he has only had one OC. If it is the OC it is the HC. I like Harbaugh as a coach but not as a play caller. If he changes OCs and it all looks the same I’ll start calling for a HC change. For now, just change the OC and see what happens.
BTW, the coach picks the QB so if it is the QB it is the coach.
Skeebers- Alex isn’t exactly shredding the Oakland defense.
Berger
There you go again.
We all know that Kap is given an opportunity to decide if the play will be a run or a pass as 2 plays are called in the huddle.
That is the flaw in your premise that Kap has no say when in fact he does determine pass or run.
Does the running game suck? Really?? 7th in the NFL doesn’t suck but then again you say you aren’t into stats so I guess your opinions are based on style.
I’m not an egg-spurt nor am I royalty or a nudist.
Bullit- Are you trying to tell me Kap calls the offense or the OC does? So does the coach coach or does he sit in the booth with his thumb up his butt. Please explain.
Bullit- Our QB is our #2 rusher. Is that what you call an effective running game? He has 322 yards, most of those on scrambles. Take those yards away and we are #26 in the NFL. Is that what you call an effective running game? How about those numbers.
BTW, we are #8(not #7) according to ESPN, but who’s counting.
Bullit- Even the coach says he has to coach better. Are you disagreeing?
According to Bullit, Alex is being not doing his job as per Bullit standards. He is sitting on the bench not looking at pictures.
Kappy’s 15 in QB rating, and he’s suffered near the top in drops. He’s been sacked a shitload, and the line has graded out very poorly. I’m not sure what more he is expected to do. Yeah. he’s missed some passes and he’s held the ball too long. Does anyone bemoan Roethlesberger from holding the ball too long? No.
Kappy may rely too heavily on his ability to make big plays, and yeah, at times it gets him into trouble, but he’s constantly being put into this position by these crap-ass play calls and inconsistent offense. Take out Kappy’s runs and where is out\r vaunted run offense? Please.
I jusat have to laugh that NoFear misses Checkdown Charlie. Raiders win!
Raiders win their first one and you’re still a loser. How sad is that?
Alex Smith is the eleventh rated QB at PFF, Colin Kaepernick is twenty-two. Tied with Sanchez and behind RG3. Just saying.
Just saying what, NoFear? You NEVER say anything. If I’m a loser because I think our play caling is bad, then what is you disappearing for a whole season while Smith went 13-3, and you only returned to gloat when the Niners lost to the Giants in the playoffs? What was that? Chickenshit cowering is what that was.
Now you want Smith back? Bring back Nolan too, right?
The mind boggles.
The Chiefs now have a losing streak of 4 against 0-10 teams. They haven’t beaten an 0-10 team since 1962.
The Game Manager now has the rare honor of having contributed to this streak.
I hope you didn’t piss your pants when you typed that like you would in real life, keyboard tough guy.
What I’m saying, clearly over your head, is that Kaepernick is playing like shit and it’s not simply my opinion. It’s fact. You know those pesky things that get in the way of your narrative so often.
And quit making up shit and ascribing it to me. Do you know what ascribing is? Look it up. Then quit it.
You and your doppleganger from Reno depend on shutting down other POVs and stifling any debate to appear that your idiotic notion is the only correct one. It doesn’t work that way in the real world. But as is evident from your tough guy post, you don’t live there. In your world people “cower” from your keyboard. Again I ask, how sad is that?
NoFear- Your POV gets stifled because you never say anything. You just throw comments from the peanut gallery making fun of others. Unca is correct, when we went 13-3 with Alex you ran and hid until we lost. We all remember that.
Berger
Isn’t funny that when it suits your purposes, you and Chuck dwell
in the past and it’s OK for you guys to talk about things said in the recent past and long ago.
Think about that the next time you slam me for that and keep showing what giant hypocrites you are.
It has always been a weak ass feeble reponse to attck me for things you two continually engage in and set a double standard.
Nothing but a cheap shot and a low blow on your part.
Practice what you preach.
Bullit- What was that about? Did I win a debate or something? Just refer to RT’s comment of the day. It might make you smile. The Chiefs are on a 4 game losing streak to 0-10 teams since 1962!
Bullit complaining about looking to the past? Now THAT’S funny. I could care less about opinions. It’s the assholes behind them I have a problem with. I don’t start shit but I will defend my shit in the face of you digging up 4 year old posts.
Only you 2 are allowed that privilege? Bully for you. Bullit you’ve attacked people for YEARS so don’t try to come off like sweet Polly purebred here.
Like I said a GIANT WHINING HYPOCRITE.
Stop complaining about it because you do the same.
This part of the playbook comes out when you’ve absorbed the usual beatdown.
Kappy is #2 in dropped passes. There were 12 in the past 2 games. Over 20 all season. THere have been at least 3 TDs dropped. Would that help his precious numbers?
Like Bullit ignoring Kappy’s scramble yards padding the run totals, you guys get lost in the stats.
This poorly designed passing game puts the onus squarely on Kappy to wait for these slow developing routes to come open. This happens all the time. It’s on him to throw on the run or scramble.
There are very few 3 step drop plays or quick hitters. This is on The coaches.
No, buckwheat, you don’t get to cry foul when your own bullshit tactics gets thrown back at you.
There goes Chuck again with the slew of excuses for Kap.
Let’s be honest here. In the NFCCG against the Seahags all Kap’s turnovers weren’t his fault and you two hypocrites are still pointing the finger at others including Roman.
You really don’t know how stupid you look.
Bullit- Look in the mirror. You’ll see a Greg Roman head on your shoulders. Can’t get more stupid than that!
Kaps scramble yards are 49er rushing yards.
If he’s a member of the 49ers they are 49er rushing yards.
How is he not part of the equation?
I’m not sure what point you are trying to make by continually putting Kap on a pedestal and holding him blameless for everything you’re bitching about that’s wrong with the offense.
Like it or not as the QB he’s the key figure in the equation just like any other team in the NFL.
Bullit- Let me get this straight, if somebody doesn’t agree with you they look stupid?
I have posted this video before.
Listen to what Phil Simms learned from Bill Walsh.
Walsh told Simms he was throwing the ball too hard, sacrificing accuracy. Simms said he took that to heart and it made him a far better QB.
Sound familiar???
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nCyDtgvkU78
Like it or not, most don’t consider scrambling yards as part of the running game design. It is bail out the coach and his bad play design yards. You can add them in if it makes you feel better. They are run numbers but they aren’t part of the run game plan since they come from failed passing plays.
So it took a coach, Bill Walsh, to teach Simms the technique. Why don’t you call RoBaugh and tell them to coach their QB some technique since you are so unhappy with it. I, unlike you, believe coaching matters.
Berger
Who is most? You and Chuck?
Does the NFL have a separate category?
Chuck
Right on cue you resort to namecalling when you’re flustered
and don’t have anything to comeback with.
Be careful because some would construe “Buckwheat” as a racial slur. More hypocrisy on Chuck’s part?
Kap gets more yards from broken passing plays than any other QB. To attribute that to a sound running scheme for the purpose of trying to sell me that we indeed have the 8th best running team is for numbers people only. People who know the game know better. I choose not to buy you snake oil.
Actually, you said we have the 7th best running team. But who is counting?
Berger
I said they ranked 7th in the NFL.
Please do not twist my words to feed your narrative.
Oops! I meant to say, I choose not to buy ‘your’ snake oil! But I won’t buy you any either.
Isn’t that what I said? Are you obfuscating now?
Well, since redskin is fine with you I figured that was ok.. .
My 8:18 and 8:20 posts actually explain things pretty well, skippy.
You said 7th, ESPN has us as 8th. Sorry that I stayed with the facts and not your narrative.

Sweet Polly Purebred?
Are you for real???
Once more your misogyny rears it’s ugly head. Is “Purebred” meant to be another slur?
Give you enough rope and you’ll hang yourself.
Personally, I was heartbroken when they took the Amos and Andy show off TV. I loved that show. And, i guess even after all these years I’m still a little pissed.
Guess you ain’t an underdog fan, skippy. Jump at shadows much?
Purebred is offensive but redskin ain’t? What a strange twisted world you live in buckwheat.
http://youtu.be/u-mfTQc3Rwg
None other than Wally Cox voicing Underdog. And we know ROB love him some Cox.
Unca- I think the monobrow professor was Greg Roman. I think we are running the Phoney Booth Offense. Everybody does exactly what they are told to do and nobody thinks for themselves. It is like what the experts were saying last year, if the play is supposed to go to a certain receiver that is where it goes. Could be why we have so few, if any, hot reads. Hot reads require the QB and the receiver to have to think after they read a certain defensive alignment. Worse yet, they have to think alike. In the Phoney Booth Offense everybody must do exactly what they are told and nothing else. Unless Kap starts scrambling that is what it looks like we do.
Finny thing is, it pre-dates Kappy. They did much the same with nofear’s hero Alex.
Dorsey and A Davis out for Sunday, not good. We will see J Martin and Dial instead. Marcus Martin seems to have helped steady the OL. We’ll see. This could be quite an issue going forward.
Looking to se
Looking to see good player execution and good play calling/play design against Redskins and our other games.
That’s what it takes right?
RT nice shot at Smith. He was heard saying after the Raiders dump job: “I may be a worthless sack who never done nothin’ right except bank my millions and choke in these high pressure games with everything on the line BUT at least I’m not Sio Moore”
Moore responded; “”You know how they say act like you’ve been there before — I haven’t,” Moore cracked after the game to laughter in the locker room before going out with buddy Khalil to smoke a fat one in the EZ
Sunday’s game with the Redskins will be televised on CBS even though this is strictly NFC vs NFC.
Announcers are Kevin Harlan and Rich Gannon.
This is not on Fox because the NFL this year is allowing certain games to go to the other network and CBS chose this one earlier this year.
So if you live in the Bay Area this will be on Channel 5 and not 2.
Here’s a look at Aldon and some Lynch doing a job on Eli w/ 4 GIFs:

This why I say we got a chance to continue winning.
Hopefully the coconut internet will be functioning okay so I can watch a live stream at 4:30 AM Monday. Last couple weeks no. Just replays on NFL.com. Then too there’s usually NFL Audio Pass paid service I have on web. Tim Ryan and Ted Robinson yak yak.
Playoffs continue…
It’s all on the offense, Phil. If this team can somehow start scoring in the red zone, they will be fine. They could even make a playoff push. Continue to screw up in the red zone and they may not reach the playoffs.
We can go on and on about who what or why, but until they start scoring they won’t go anywhere. I thought Jim should have done last year what John did 3 years ago, bur here we are saddled with Roman and a shitty offense.
Yep Chuck the O needs to score more in RZ and avoid injuries like the recent one to A Davis. I thought we got through the Giants in one piece then heard about Davis. Nothing is easy this year. Play calling, execution, injuries…yikes.
Also snake bit on D w/ injuries and now Dorsey is not back yet. Going to need him soon.
Two games this week are going to be tough. I’m rooting for SEA on Sunday then piling on them Turkey Day.
Phil- I hope we have Dorsey back by the Seattle game. They run well and we’ll need to stout up the middle. Having two NTs will be important. With Dorsey and Dial we should be OK.
I’m still trying to figure out who’s had the worst week: Alex “The Shredder” Smith or Bill Cosby. One just lost to a winless team. Losers of 16 straight dating back to last year. Succumbing to a sorry sad sack of players all dressed in black. The other is an old angry black man whose once flourishing comedic and acting career is coming to an abrupt halt because he won’t talk about his borderline criminal past life of debauchery.
Losers the both of ’em. But I do know this: Bill Cosby still has a better chance of ever winning a Super Bowl than does Alex Smith.
Dennis, the Raider defense is actually pretty good. Shit, their offense is better than ours lately.
Has Peyton won anything in Denver yet?
Alex in KC=Peyton in Denver.
Chuck, the Raiders have had moments of near brilliance this year. They gave the Pats all they could handle @New England, at they darn near pulled off the upset @Seattle. I’m already on record saying I think Carr’s going to be good.
A good draft or two and they could be an NFL team for a change.
Chuck, did Alex or Kap win anything while playing for San Francisco yet? I guar-an-damn-tee you if Manning were our QB these past three years AND he were allowed to run the offense his way we would have Lombardi #6 in our trophy case by now.
Guar-an-damn-tee it. Did we sign Peyton Manning yet?
That ain’t the issue, Dennis. The issue is your unending hard-on for Peyton Manning and the fact we didn’t get him. If he was good he’d have won the Super Bowl by now. Not fold up like a paper umbrella against the Seahawks.
I tell ya, the Raiders are missing Hue Jackson. He had a pretty good offense going when he was here.
Carr is doing well despite their inconsistency. Sound familiar?
If you think Manning would have won a Super Bowl here, you are deaf, dumb, blind, and drunk, Dennis.
4 out of 4 ain’t bad, skippy.
And you’re still making Alexcuses to this day. I don’t effing believe it. Alex lost to a team that had lost 16 straight games. And I don’t give a shit that the Raiders had played some tight close games vs other quality teams. Their QBs found a way to win those games. “The Shredder” did not.
Alex Smith effing sucks. Always has, always will.
“We’re better off with Alex Smith than signing Peyton Manning.”
That has to be your epitaph. Your most utterly ridiculous comment needs to infamously live in perpetuity forever.
Where did I mention Alex? God you need to shut your stupid fricking mouth, Dennis. No one give a red rat’s ass about Peyton Manning but you. Go cry a river to someone who cares. Those dumb-ass ducks, for example.
11-12 in the playoffs??? That is dogshit.
Your epitaph? “Broke shoulder sitting. Broke both feet feeding ducks.”
You make Crystal Todd look like Megatron.
We have no margin for error after 4 early losses. Our playoffs started against NO following the Rams debacle. We won on a Kaepernick miracle toss to Crabtree- or at least good team play w/ Boone hustling down the line to obstruct the D to
We have no margin for error after 4 early losses. Playoffs started in NO where we won on a last second miracle toss by Kaepernick to Crab. Or at least good team play by Boone who hustled down the line to obstruct D enough for Kap to pull the rabbit out of the hat. Brooks got his revenge too.
Next came our playoff game in NY/NJ against a tough team who has had our number for past several years. We struggled on O but did enough on D and ST (barely) to gut out a tough playoff win on the road. This greatly disappointed everyone on the East coast who along with their pet media counted on winning their Super Bowl against us. They failed, we won a gut check.
Tomorrow our game is against Redskins who would dearly love to win their own SB and eliminate us who after all demolished them last year. So despite our stumbling O we remain in contention and our players know there is no margin for blowing it Sunday. Or Thursday.
Meanwhile Manning sits fat dumb and happy in first place while losing last 2 of 5. Something we cannot afford again unless we want an early vacation.
Going to be an interesting week for Niner fans.
Phil I see this game as a tune up match for Seattle.
We have to get things corrected and focused in the Red Zone.
DC doesn’t threaten anyone with a ground attack.
Their OLine is banged up as well.
No let downs in this one.
Short week as well.
Seattle game could be the difference as to which one of us gets a WC slot.
For now, put DC away and get things in sync for Turkey Day.
I expect big production from the 9er D on Sunday.
I’m praying for some signs of life from the Offense.
I’ll join you with the prayers for a good effort on D and some decent production in RZ NJ. Sooner or later we will get on a roll on O. Now would be a great time in advance of SEA in this short week.
Season on the line each game. It’s the playoffs!
Hope we use VD in RZ tomorrow and maybe some designed runs or option keepers for Kap. We had a lot more success last year with both those.
I would also say it’s important to win both games at Levis so we can begin to claim home field advantage there. Do that and this season looks a lot better going forward
I basically considered the NOLA game as the start of our Playoff run Phil.
Pressure has been on after dropping the game vs the Rams.
2 losses that have mostly pissed me off this year are Bears and Rams.
Those were games where we just couldn’t put either away.
Thankfully our D has been there to prop up the anemic O.
Need a good, solid, focused effort on Sunday.
I’m still not sold that RG III can hurt us but, Colt is there and knows our Defense fairly well.
Need to rattle RG III into mistakes I think.
Not worried about our Defense showing up, it’s the Offense that concerns most of us.
Great minds think alike NJ! Yep to our playoffs beginning after Rams embarrassment. Can’t go any lower than that. I used to say back in the glory years: “Go 10-6, beat the Rams twice, take our chances in playoffs”. That worked for 20 years but now the NFC West is tougher so 10-6 won’t cut it automatically.
Winning 2 at Levis will help right the ship a bit. I’m sure players are taking it one game at a time. Hopefully J Martin on OL holds up his end of the line. Also how good was it to get M Martin in 3rd round?
Love the Marcus Martin Pick and Carlos too Phil.
Gotta admit I overlooked Borland, simply because he didn’t possess the measurables normally sought by Baalke.
Kid has been a pleasant surprise so far, as have several others, including Dontae, Lynch and Ward.
Ward got smoked vs the Bears but, he’s been pretty solid otherwise.
Just wish Kaep could find some success with the shorter routes and get the ball out quicker.
Much has been debated here regarding the play-calling vs execution certainly but, there’s blame to be placed on both sides of that debate.
I have seen numerous examples of Kaep overlooking check-downs in favor of the big strike.
I give him high marks for being competitive in most situations but, again, he needs to take what the Defense gives him too.
One area that seems to open rather frequently is the short middle, especially when blitzes are applied.
His natural reaction is to use his feet to buy time.
If he simply looks for the easy dump off in those situations, big plays could easily occur.
Alex makes a living with those dump offs in the flat.
Hoping Kaep finds that gear to lay a few over the top of the blitz packages and defeat the pressure.
I think Frank, Carlos and Ellington would be deadly in those circumstances.
We need someone with Crabtree’s normally reliable hands to pluck and accelerate.
Jamaal Charles does a phenomenal job of that.
Kaep has the big arm, which is nice but, there’s a time and a place for throttling it back too.
I’m sure he’ll continue to improve as he matures.
He just tends to muscle a lot of throws which could account for some of those drops we’re seeing.
I saw this kid today, Miami vs UVA.
The UVA QB is a fast-baller like Kaep too.
The WR, Canaan Severin, is a pretty big target too.
Looks like he’s only a JR, so I’m not certain where he stands in terms of the Draft next year but, this catch was amazing.
Check how the Safety reacted, he thought he had the Pick.

NJ I wasn’t going to post this link of interview w/ Steve Young but after reading your post above I will:
http://blog.sfgate.com/49ers/2014/11/21/steve-young-and-the-art-of-molding-a-mobile-quarterback/
“Steve Young and the art of molding a mobile quarterback”
It’s a long read but can be summarized that Young describes his extensive experiences as a running QB transitioning to ‘elite’ QB level. It is also a plea for Kap (and RG) to continue putting in the hours of work and study to master the techniques to get there. He describes the pitfalls of ‘using your feet’ as you put it instead of knowing what options the QB has “until the play is exhausted”.
An interesting read. It will take time even for the most willing and motivated QB to get there. We should be willing to be patient w/ Kap and know he will need good coaching to get there.
LOL on the link you posted = that safety missed the bus!
One thing I’ll say on the topic of Kaep vs RG III Phil.
Killer instinct.
Kaep has it, RG III, not so much.
Kaep needs plenty of work, which by all accounts I’ve read, he seeks to improve and, appears to be self motivated.
RG III impresses me as someone who let all the College hype go to his head.
Not to mention an Owner that coddles and enables him.
I’ll check that link out, thanks for sharing.
Regarding that catch by Canaan, that ball came in like a Kaep fast-ball, which immediately caught my attention when he snagged it away from the Safety.
Amazing play.
Good read Phil.
I agree about good Coaching too.
Both Shanny and Holmgren were there for Steve and Joe too.
What exactly is Harbaugh doing/not doing for Kaep is the question.
Niners should win 34-13 over RG3 and the Redskins.
Hopeful they come out of this game injury free as it’s a really short week before Niners feast on Seaturkey.

Hoyer leads the Browns to victory.
Denny has forsaken Johnny Benchwarmer.
Mike Smith gave away that game with his continued shitty use of the clock.
If Smith isn’t fired tomorrow, Arthur Blank needs to be shot with a gun not loaded with blanks.
Turnovers, drops = yuck
Must score 4th Q
If Roman is still employed tomorrow, I may give up on this team. They are worse than Hostler/Nolan or Singletary/Jimmy Hat.
Coaches all playing like shit today. Holding the ball, taking sacks, throwing into coverage, dropping the ball, fumbling the ball. Hard to win the easy “should wins” like that. Better get a new coaching regime in here, pronto.
GREAT PLAY CALL = run Hyde deep out of back field = FAIL. Piss poor coaching. Of course players are not making any mistakes either. But it’s all execution LOL
Never play calling right blinders
Hey good execution by J Smith. O still sucks.
“Poor situational awareness by coaches and O players.
Oh it’s BOTH? Naw ‘execution’
B-O-T-H
Yeah it’s a big concept but work on it you’ll figure it out.
BOTH blinders
“They are worse than Hostler/Nolan or Singletary/Jimmy Hat.”
Except they are 7-4 in a position to win a playoff spot. But you can give up any old time : )
Taking the argument to the ridiculous doesn’t make your point. Trying to put all the piss poor player performance on coaching is so ridiculous it can’t be taken seriously by anyone who watches the games.
Our main problem is player execution. If you think saying I said “IT’S ALL EXECUTION” can make your argument seem better you must have a pretty weak argument to begin with.
Ugly wins are still wins.
Better than a pretty loss.
Sets up the showdown against Seahags.
3rd ond one? How about up the middle? Repeat repeat repeat repeat. ONE worked and that was on 4th down.
I believe Roman will still be employed tomorrow.
CYA!!!
BOTH. That’s my point obviously correct.
Yeah what the hell was that up the middle w/ Hyde baloney. How about letting Wash throw a challenge flag while coaches substituted after VDs catch?
POOR situational awareness on both players and coaches. That’s us. But hey we won so whatever.
Bring on the Seahawks and get ready for another nail biter
New post is up.
