The 49er first stringers took the night off, but the second and third stringers looked like Super Bowl contenders Thursday night aqainst the Chargers. 35-3. What a butt kicking. Norv Turner’s team looked like all 75 players took the night off. The San Diego blogs must be going ape about now. Tee hee hee.
Colin Kaepernick looked very good during the first half, looking poised and confident while leading the Niners to a 21-0 half time lead. It was the best he’s played since he was drafted in 2011. If he doesn’t manage to eventually unseat Alex Smith, his trade value zoomed through the roof in last night’s game, and the whole exhibition season. This guy has major league skills.
A whole bunch of 49er scrubs played well last night, perhaps making today’s roster cut down to 53 guys all that much tougher for Trent Baalke and Jim Harbaugh. We’ll be letting some pretty decent talent hike up north to Pete Carroll’s ex-49er shelter today.
The 49ers will waive 21 guys today and bring 8 back tomorrow for the practice squad. After that, it’s full attention to beating Green Bay in the season opener a week from Sunday. We’re almost there, guys. The 2012 season is just around the corner.
I was very impressed with Kappy…he looked realllly good…a star in the waiting… (thats not going to make things any easier for Smith)…Kappy could start if needed…and probubly never see the bench again..what an arm…and he’s learning different throws…throwing from the pocket, and those passes on roll outs, with his running ability …thats gonna scare the CRAP out defensive cordinators …and i was impressed with what i seen from JJ too….well the team looks ready to go….even Dixon looked good….wow..what good coaching can do….just amazing….
The obvious thing learned last night is LaMichael James has a long ways to go before he’ll be returning punts. LMJ was pressing
and trying to force things.
Still they have to have a backup to KW until Ginn is healthy.
I would have given Cox or Culliver
a look last night.
The #1 thing I wanted to see was he offense looking crisp. All presaeason the plays have been getting in late and Smith has not been fast enough for my liking in getting the boys up to the LOS. Last night it all looked great. It gave us a rythm we hadn’t had in the 1st three games.
After watching Kaepernick for 4 years at Nevada, nothing he does surprises me. He will need to learn how to play against a defense that has game planned for him but his ability to run will give opposing DCs a headache. At Nevada every team specifically game planned to stop him and he was usually unstoppable. He is the only FBS QB in history to have 10,000 yds passing and 4,000 yds rushing.
AJ Jenkins made himself look worthy of the 1st pick. Hopefully that was a preview of things to come.
Trenton Robinson looked good.
Tukuafu is a good football player.
Tolzien had a defeated look on his face last night. I feel bad for him. I think he can play despite the two stinker games he threw up this preseason. Whatr happens later today between him and JJ will be interesting. I don’t expect us to keep 4 QBs but it would not be a huge surprise for me if we did. A trade would not even surprise me. A team can wait to see who we cut but then they can’t control where he goes.
Payton Manning is pushing Buicks. Expect Del to be driving one soon!
Does anybody know if the Nevada-Cal game is being shown on TV in the Bay Area?
I love this cut down day. I scan through all the released players looking for any ex-49ers who are still hanging onto a career by their fingernails. It’s amazing how long some of them last.
JJ made a race of it, interesting to see what happens.
Good to see the O moving to the LOS with purpose, that first drive running the ball at 8 yds a clip, and Dixon making a statement, heady stuff.
Seeing AJ run the flanker sweep (one of Ginn’s specialties) makes me think Jenkins will be included in the upcoming games. He’s got a knack for getting open, and he’s got better hands from what I can tell. I wouldn’t be too too surprised to see Ginn cut.
.
JJ seemed to stop looking over his shoulder for the axe and play. Tolzein was the one who looked tentative and shakey. Is it enough for JJ? Still think they keep both for the time being.
When’s the game, Bergs?
Nevada vs Cal is at either 12 or 12:30.
Yeah Chuck, I thought AJ did some nice things, we have good players pushing for playing time. LMJ had a great kickoff return to start the game but had horrible punt returns, hearing footsteps?
Owusu has been the invisible man, hiding him for PS or he didn’t cut it?
Berger’s another one who thinks the 49ers are better off this year with Alex at QB instead of Manning. That’s so idiotic you don’t even deserve to live to 12/21 when the rest of us all get to die. Alex Smith over Peyton Manning? Do you hear yourself? Jesus H. Christ.
TV listing says the game is on the Pac 12 network. No idea if I get that channel.
I don’t know. Both Palmer and Owusu dropped passes they should have caught. Jenkins I thought looked very good.
Hey, Berger. Would you like to critique your boy Kaepernick on his throwing mechanics during this pass? You’re the expert. Tell me this is picture perfect and I’ll tell you we’re better off with Alex this year.
http://www.sacbee.com/2012/08/30/4774807/49ers-vs-chargers.html
Boo hoo, Dennis. You are now worse than V. And that’s really saying something.
.
So Chuck think Jenkins looked good? He’ll look even better in GB when he’s in street clothes. He ain’t playing.

Tough to win in the frozen tundra
except it’ll be in the 70’s or 80’s.
74 degrees forecast high with a 3:25 late afternoon start.
10% chance of rain with a 7 mph wind from the SW.
Let the games begin!
GB is a winnable game – if we play a very, very good game. As it is the first week, there is no way to predict yet what the team can really do. Even if we lose, it is not the end of the world, as long as we are competitive. The offense should be better in November and December than in September, as the new guys get comfortable in the system.
And as the weather turns ugly a good run game is a major plus.
Dennis- That form doesn’t look bad. Hard to tell without seeing the foot work and knowing if he is on the run. He didn’t do anything last night that said his form is bad. All of our QBs seem to have some good coaching. That was hard to find under Nolan and Sing.
If we can get pressure on Rogers with our front four, we win. If we have to blitz more than one, we lose. If we get pressure with 5 it will come down to other factors.
With Ginn out, Jenkins likely suits up, Dennis.
Berger, Kap is coming along nicely under center and is looking to throw before run with good success.
He is certainly talented.
Tolzein had a rough outing but I thought he did ok last week, 3 sure fire hit them in the hands drops didn’t help but his decisions looked ok to me.
JJ did some good things yesterday, if he gets cut he will be picked up and he made getting cut a tough decision, maybe Chuck was right and we keep 4 after all.
Colin Jones traded to Carolina.
It seemed obvious that Colin Jones
might be expendable because I never saw him in the game as a safety during this preseason. With so many other players multitasking he was going to be on the chopping block being one dimensional.
Not sure if they were accurate but Dennis O’Donnell said on the broadcast last night the Niners had 15 draft picks for 2013. That sounds high and a crazy stockpile for a team with a lot of talent and fewer needs.
New England cut Bobby Hoying their backup QB and Philly is trying to trade their backup Kafka.
Maybe Ariz is interested and will swing a deal lol.
There are QBs already floating around and it;s still early.
Rock Cartwright was cut. Thus sparing Anthony Dixon.
Carwrithg was traded to Carolina for their 7th round pick.
From what I saw last night, the 49ers will win the Super Bowl this year. You heard it here first. Why? Because despite what all the whoopleheads on this blog think about Alex Smith, Colin Kaepernick is ready right now and he’s far better than Smith.
.
Here’s my prediction based on what I saw last night – If Harbaugh starts Kaep, the Super Bowl will be Niners / Houston. If Harbaugh starts Smith all season, the Super Bowl will be Giants / Houston.
.
Houston’s the trendy pick coming out of the AFC. I also like the Broncos and Patriots.
.
Either way, Kaep is ready right now and far better than Alex Smith right now. RIGHT NOW! Smith will lose his starting job to Kaep this year.
CB Anthony Mosley and WR Sweet Brain were cut.

reuland and Bakhtiari gone
Damn. I like Reuland. Bakhtiari cut from his 9th team.
The garbage man cometh and goeth, liked him too.
Both Reuland and Bak will probably be on the PS, though it is hard to say, we usually keep a couple of OL’s, a WR, and a couple of LB’s, maybe a QB but that will be shortlived. Do we get draft compensation with certain players off the PS?
Tolzien makes roster – for now.
Don’t think bak is elligible
Mike Person released. Somewhat of a surprise. I guess with Leonard Davis around, Boone is starter and backup tackle.
This seems to be a new thing.
In the old days they would just release a list of the waived players.
Now it’s drip, drip, drip.
Somehow I prefer the old way as this is an all day event.
It’s gott be hell to be on the bubble.
Another surprise: Darcel McBath makes the cut. That int of Rivers must have done him some good.
And another: Celek makes the cut.
Josh Johnson waived.
Another funny thing is all this info is coming from multiple sources like it’s being leaked.
Seems like the intent is to create a buzz.
Full list of cuts:
聽
LB Alama-Francis, LB Bakhtiari, RB Cartwright, T Hall, LB Holland, DT Jerod-Eddie, LB C. Johnson, QB J. Johnson, DT Masifilo, CB Mosley, TE Nelson, G Netter, WR Owusu, WR Palmer, T Person, TE Reuland, LB Rowe, WR Swain, S Thomas, T Wiggins and LB Wilhoite.
Celek over Reuland?
I am happy that Ian Williams made the team. He’s turning into a
decent plugger at NT.
Maybe they can sign Jerod-Eddie to the PS.
They have only 3 at OLB so they might not be done if they pick up
a LB on waivers.
After JJ’s game against San Diego, I’d be surprised if he does not get picked up by next Sunday. I also expect a move or two by the 49ers before all is settled.
IMO, Ian Williams plays more like a 3-4 DE than a NT. The fact he can play NT helped him make this team.
Wouldnt be surprised if niners pick up JJ if he clears waivers and move Tolzien to the PS
Seahags just cut their 3rd QB and now only have Wilson & Flynn.
Is Petey going to do it again?
tony- I think Tolzien is their choice unless they are working a trade. I doubt they are working a trade.
The Rams also only have 2 QBs
Bradford and a rookie. They’ll pick up Hoying or JJ as they have first crack.
Tony, why not just put Tolzein on the PS and keep JJ on the roster in the first place.
I think they like Tolzein and will keep him to further develop.

Will Ta鈥檜fo鈥檕u released by Jaguars. A cousin of Will Tukuafu?
Since you guys are using bad humor, how about the conversation I had with my dog yesterday. Like most males, I speak for my dog. I know he agrees because he looks at me and wags his tail when I talk for him. Right?
聽
So I ask him, “Are there dogs at Burning Man? Should they call it Burning Dog?” He tells me, “We already have hot dogs, we don’t need Burning Dogs”.
聽
Conversation with myself, errrr!, my dog, over!
Besides, dogs already walk around naked, why would they need Burning Dog?
For any of those that are not familiar with Burning Man, it is a festival every Labor Day week-end on the playa of the Black Rock Desert in northwest Nevada that features free style living. IOW, drugs and little or no clothes. It costs about 300 dollars for a ticket and people come from all over the world. They get abut 100,000 people for the event. Nobody goes because it is always too crowded!
One more thing, for now, it doesn’t seem as though we cut that great of players. I look at the list and say, BFD. We are so biased for our team it cracks me up. Hey, I’m in the same boat.
聽
I feel like we are a blog team. For some reason, I just feel as part of a “smarter than other blogs” here, even though we all share the same obtuseness of every other blog! Maybe we are just smarter idiots!
I don’t know if Will Tukuafu will ever be a star, I do know he is a good football player. Versatile should be his middle name. He plays great back-up D-line and crushes people when he leads for running plays on offense. He is going to be a cult hero in SF soon.
Have we fired the old refs yet? The replacements are starting to perform well. Their biggest problem is swallowing the whistle, something we always seem to ask for.
聽
Union people are bitching. Why? To protect their income. Always follow the money when you want to know the answer. The replacements are starting to do so well I expect an agreement with the old biased crew very soon. The only people who like the old biased guard are pro union people.

The thing is the established refs sucked so bad I see this as an opportunity to oust them.

Just about everyone from this years class.

I believe there is no substitute for experience.
So when you go to the dentist you go for the guy fresh out of dental school?
You feel comfortable with a rookie pilot flying your plane?
Rookie bartenders, chefs and hair stylists. I could go on and on.
One thing I know the NFL does is score and grade their officials.
They have demoted refs to side judge or umpires before.
Officiating is one of the hardest jobs and in a way is thankless because it is based on judgement.
I like the old officials and want their expertise back.
RT- Just for shits and giggles, act like an inner city kid and take a can of spray paint to the Indian ruins
聽
Didn’t that piss some off? That was my point. Why do we put up with graffiti? The kids graffitied the Petroglyphs I quad to here.
聽
I think the government should issue hunting licenses to rednecks. They would hide out in urban America and legally shoot graffitiers with salt pellets. To be legal it would need to be filmed. Now we are talking. These graffitiers would be taking a major chance. Now it becomes sport. The best shot would be the redneck who could shoot the artist grafitiing the sign over the freeway. When he falls on the freeway and gets run over who wouldn’t cheer. That would be the maximum point total. Since the redneck would have to film his salt pellet shot, points would be allocated by the state. The rednecks with the most verifiable points get awarded. All of a sudden, graffiti becomes exciting. Rednecks are the best Americans. This would actually work to clean up graffiti.
bullit- I think the old officials are terrible and want them replaced. They suck so bad I can’t trust them. The fact they are protected by their union is pathetic. I’d rather train new refs I can trust. The Seattle vs Pittsburgh Super Bowl was the last straw. I’ve wanted those biasaed idiots gone ever since. You can have your little buddies.
bullit- I’ve gone to dentists so old it worried me. I was praying for a first year dentist, fresh out of college with new technology. I sure wouldn’t want a pilot who can’t stay awake. As far as bartenders, hair stylists and chefs, show me some talent.

Harbaugh and mostly all of the players want the old officials back.
That’s good enough for me.
I go back 5 years because that was the final straw. They continue to show bias since. They missed a fumble in our NFC championship game which cost us a Super Bowl appearance. But you protect them. No one needs to go back 5 years for these blue hairs. Just check their last game. They suck. I want them fired. I see this as an opportunity.
bullit- Harbaugh had better say that if they want any calls when these biased idiots get back. I see that as smart posturing by Harbaugh.
bullit- I’ll bottom line it for you
The new refs had a good week, they actually are starting to look competent.
The old refs are suddenly back at the table before the are exposed to the general public by the good officiating we saw this week.

Berger
Shipley is a free agent and was cut by the Bucs. He’ll just cost you a minimum contract to stash him on IR.He tore up his knee last year and the Bengals cut him earlier
Without him Colt McCoy
wouldn’t be in the NFL (for now).
Your guy Marquise Lee was a freshman last year. He can’t be drafted until 2014.
I believe some misunderstand what being on the Practice Squad means.
You have control of players placed on the practice squad after they go unclaimed when put on waivers. If they were active for
a maximum of 9 NFL games (?) in their first 3 seasons (?) they lose eligibility (not exactly certain about these numbers).
There is little protection for your team’s control by being on the practice squad because any other team can claim him and sign him as a Free Agent by giving him a NFL contract as opposed to practice squad money which is far less.
For example if the Niners had cut Tolzein and brought him back to the practice squad he could be plucked from your team by somebody that neede a QB as long as they offered him a NFL contract
and he agreed.
good to see jenkins doing so well
bullit- I don’t know much about Shipley. I was just playing on his name and giving you some Trojan jabs. Wasn’t he the guy that was compared to Wes Welker?

Congrats on the Wolfpack beating Cal. Could be the end for Jeff Tedford.
Have some potential bad news for a team I loathe, the cheating Trojans that their snake of a coach Petey abandoned when he knew they got caught. That assbite bailed so fast and goes around doing his Sgt Schultz routine.

Seahags have just waived TE Kellen Winslow which is a little suprising.
Winslow is too much like his dad. Talented, but a jerk in the locker room.
Pete Carroll put a waiver claim in on Mike Person, but the Colts had priority on the claim. Hahaha. That’s one ex-9er you won’t get, Petey.
According to PFT.com 9ers put a claim in on LB Jamaal Westerman.
I liked him when he played for Rutgers.
Looks like we got beaten out on the claim by the Cards.
According to Barrows niners will sign Clark Haggans OLB, pending a physical, who was cut on Friday from the Cardinals.
Marqise Lee had 191 yds receiving and a 100 yd kick-off return. If he didn’t drop three balls he could have had some decent stats.
Yikes!
I’ll ask the question since nobody else has.
What’s the deal with Haralson?
They are being very tight lipped about his absence and not saying if it’s physical, personal, emotional or whatever.
Just say it’s a personal or family problem and people will respect that. Leaving everyone in the dark just leads to more questions and attention.
Especially when there are only 3 (soon to be 4) people on the roster playing that position.
Berger
I read the LA Times article and Joe McKnight was allegedly paid $30Ka nd provided a Land Rover and a Monte Carlo while he was at $C.
He said the Land Rover was his girlfriend’s and given to her by her boss even though he drove it to practice.(like that happens every day especially when your boss is a public official)
U$C is a corrupt filthy program
and just can’t stay within the rules.
USC would beat Texas. Deal with that fact.
Yeah Berger Hawaii got stomped. That Lee is something but I saw that game and Hawaii just doesn’t have the D with the ability to stop someone like him. They need need faster and more physical players.
winder- USC is awesome but I’m not sure if they are going to win a championship game. Their D-line line is really young and nobody really knows how good they are. They will probably struggle vs really good O-lines like what Stanford has. Their offense is so potent it might not matter but I would want to count on not having a top quality D-line if I thought I was a #1 team. Having said that, after a couple more games they should know how good that unit is.
Berger
U$C are cheaters just like the Aints, Whatever they win will be stripped just like Reggie Bush had his Heisman taken away.
Fitting that Bush played for the Aints.
You are better off singing the praises of the Wolfpack.
All I know is last time we met U$C
we kicked ass and won the National Championship.
Until they meet again we’ll never know unless of course they get the death penalty and disappear for 5 years.
You can forget about USC getting the death penalty. The liberals out here in California are doing their damnedest to abolish it on the November ballot. They’re trying to take away my god-given right to kill another. What’s the world coming to?
The Death Penalty is what happens when a team has to play USC!
By this time next week we should know the final score of the 49er game!
AZ just lost their swing OT to IR and Barrows says Haralson may go on IR, too.
Hagans deal done according to Branch.
But he might have to serve a 3 game suspension.
Could Bahktiari make a return?
3 games would still allow him to practice and get with the program Skeebs.
Is Parys an IR wait and return candidate perhaps?
New rule this year, you can bring a guy off IR.
I have no problems with an ex-Steeler LB from the LeBeau System.
Berger Haggans is going to need a Roster spot which means someone has to be bumped.
If Barrows is reporting IR for Parys that would be the spot he gets.
McBath could be headed for the shower next. I’m also thinking they feel Dobbs can play some Elephant.
Speaking of shower, did you see the shirts putting down Michigan?
‘I’d rather shower at Penn State than root for Michigan’.
This Haralson thing is weird. Maiocco says 49ers have warned everyone to not talk about him. Don’t know if he’s hurt or having a breakdown of some sort.
Here is Maiocco’s tweet:
Matt Maiocco 鈥廆MaioccoCSN
RT @AFNinerFan Is Haralson hurt or is he gone for personal reason? > Doesn’t sound good. 49ers have warned everyone to not talk about him.
The Raiduhs are cleaning house and taking out Al’s trash picks.
Yesterday they cut former 4th rd pick CB Chimdi Chekwa, and today they are waiving former 3rd rounder CB Marcus Van Dyke.
You have to conclude that Al Davis’ knack for judging talent
deteriorated as he got senile.
Those two were second team CBs who they are replacing off the waiver wire. They suck for a reason.
Skeebs/Berger
Doesn’t sound physical but some people handle certain situations better than others. Maybe losing your starting position and the possibility of being waived took it’s toll. Wish Parys the best whatever ails him. He’s been a good 49er.
When it comes down to it aren’t all the Niner LBs interchangeable?
Willis and Bowman seem to defend more passes than the OLBs. Both Patrick & Navarro are effective pass rushers.
That’s probably why they don’t seem to be sweating the fact that
they are short at OLB.
Dobbs can also be plugged in if needed.

Berger, I could tell ya the final score now, but I don’t want to ruin your holiday fun. Have a nice holiday everyone. I’ll be manning the BBQ and Bud Light all day. The Pinole FD are on special alert.
Bullit, I forgot to ask during the draft, but are you the “Company Man” team manager in our ESPN league? I got a kick out of that name. Regardless, good luck to whoever you are, Company Man. You’ll be working overtime and not getting paid a red cent when you play my Mannings.
Haralson has been put on IR. That was the quietest major injury I’ve ever seen.
Will he be designated for return Skeebs?
I haven’t caught up with the transactions yet.
Harbaugh operates like Bellicheat in those regards. His public pronouncements are worthless.
He’s not eligible to return, NJ. I think it’s only guys who go on IR after the season starts. Since 9ers didn’t wait one week to IR him, his injury must be bad enough that he couldn’t come back anyway.
bullit- Since you say I have made my feeling known about labor, please tell me what they are.
That’s too bad about Haralson. He sets the edge vs the run as well as any.

Haggans has been very good in the past but he is now 35. Hopefully he has a lot of fuel left in the tank.
Tough break for Parys.
Some of these injury decisions really make you scratch your head.
Curious to see what this new IR Rule does for us if needed.
I’m unclear about the designation rule.
I’ve read that if designated at the time the player is placed on IR he could be eligible to return.
And, I’ve seen that it had to occur after Tuesday at 1PM.
NJ, barrows has the tuesday 1pm and cant return for 8weeks, if true he’s done for the year and even if barrows has it wrong he isgone for half the season at a minimum.
Thanks 12th, having Parys for the 2nd half would be a plus if he’s capable.
It’s the NFL, we’ll adjust.
I read somewhere else that only those placed on IR in season are elligible to return so I think Skeebs has it right and he is done for the year.
Maiocco makes a solid point that the fans and press should be informed in a reasonable timeframe about an injury to a second string LB since no team gameplans for such a player.
We kept 7 D-linemen. A couple of those guys can play Elephant. Justin Smith and Dobbs come to mind. I’m not too woriied at this point.
If that’s the worst injury this year we are in good shape. Harralson is a decent player but no longer a key player.
Agreed Berger, I like Dobbs for the role.
I could speculate that Baalke may have been looking for a specific waiver wire player to occur too?
Parys had already been replaced by Aldon of course.
I just think some of these IR moves are done to circumvent the System and retain players.
*Waiver wire player to appear
Bellicheat looks to be guilty of that right now. Not sure why we would do that with Harralson, we are better with him on the field instead of IR. If we use Dobbs to set the edge and pass rush that makes Celek more secure on the roster.
Certainly 12th.
Obviously the rule for IR was always a cold calculation and meant ‘gone’ for the year.
With the Rule change, I think most Teams see this as an op to rest someone while they coach up additional depth.
Given the parameters and knowing what we lacked last year, I’d seek to improve the pass rush at the OLB position due to the opponents we know to have ahead of us.
Resting Parys, who is more adept at Run Support, makes him more valuable later in the year, when weather becomes a factor and running becomes more in vogue.
As for Belichick?
He’s the Master of Disguise and Creator of all things underhanded it seems.
This phase before the 1st games is like a poker game.
GMs are looking for the Waiver Wire Gems while juggling their own Rosters with moves such as PUP and IR.
Would seem to me someone other than Parys will qualify for return from IR after seeing this explanation –
“Previously, any player put on IR was lost for the entire season. Now, if a player is hurt and put on injured reserve after Sept. 4, that player may return to the active roster eight weeks after the IR designation, and the player must be on the IR list for at least six weeks. In addition, a player must be “designated for return” at the time of his IR classification, which means that a team must anticipate a player’s ability to return midseason. Teams can’t just hope their key injured player will recover in time.”
Also, Trade Deadline is extended from Week 6 to Week 8
I’d suspect we’ll see a number of names added to IR after tomorrow simply to adhere to this rule parameter.
Ok, shoot me….then there is this explanation which states a guy already on IR can be designated for return due to new rule/transition period –
http://tinyurl.com/bnexxx9
I read as this NJ:
“If a player is placed on IR after September 4, he can return to practice six weeks later and can become part of the active list two weeks after that. The team must label the injured player as “designated for return” at the time of his placement on IR.
This is the same as Barrows explanation and means Harralson is done, since the date to qualify is this Tuesday, it means either the injury is not likely to heal this year or they think they won’t need Harralson after the midpoint of the season. That’s my take anyway.
Well, what happened to him? I havne’t heard anything regarding him getting hurt. Is he pulling a Glen Coffee?
I heard he hurt his left arm. I heard he is all right now.
Maiocco and Barrows say left arm/wrist and that’s the apparent reason for IR, injured in Denver. Sounds fishy all ways round.
Haralson “believed to have left arm injury.” Did it fricking fall off?
Injured it signing autographs maybe?
12th the Fox link I included suggests Sept 4 is not necessary?
States ‘Transition’ period allowed for players already on IR prior to 9/4.
We’ll designate someone I’d guess?
Parys injury serious or just suspicious?
Let the smoke-screen continue.
So…..depending on who provides the information, it’s fair to say it’s unclear.
I do think someone on our IR list will get designated for return.
Parys makes sense if the injury isn’t too severe.
Didn’t read through that last paragraph NJ, it muddies the waters since that’s the first time I’ve read anything about the ability to tag someone already on IR. Guess we will see soon enough.
A new wrinkle 12th, gotta think Parys or Cam or Darius factor in down the road.
Not sure who else is IR’d for us right at this moment.
Now the Drs can get involved and predict which guys are done and how many other Roster spots can be cleared as a result.
The Poker Game continues….
Dennis
You called me “Company Man” so I adopted it. I can confirm that is me and I will wipe you out with
Crabtree as the tip of my spear,
Berger
Earlier in this thread you said this
8/31 10:25pm
“Unions are nothing but protection. Necessary, yes. I would not get rid of unions. But no one can deny they create mediocrity because they protect tenure”
Maiocco said this earlier today about Parys
“This morning, I went back and re-watched all 29 of Haralson’s defensive snaps against the Denver Broncos. His final play looked innocuous enough. He was engaged with Broncos tight end Joel Dressen on a second-quarter play that went another direction.
Immediately after the play, Haralson held his left arm or wrist as if he had been injured. He immediately left the game and did not return.”
bullit- Thanks for reposting that. It is very accurate. So please tell me how I feel about labor from that post.
NJ, Cam is on the practice squad, he might get on the field sooner rather than later given the lack of depth right now. I liked Bak, kinda surprised they didn’t try to get him unless he went somewhere else and I missed it.
I thought Bak would make it too 12th.
Point I was attempting to make is that we obviously wanted another option at OLB.
Haggans is aboard of course, just wondering if they sought another WaiverWire option is all?
We’ll never know.
All I can say is, the Parys injury is awfully stealth.
Forgot Cam came back for SD game, good call.
We just exchanged Parys for Clark and, there might be suspension time involved.
Can you say R&R for Parys while Clark learns the ropes?
Roster Mgt 101 for the rest of us.

Wow, sorry about that Skeebs. Tried to stop the submit and correct a typo.
Posted twice. Duh.
Where’s Reddog?

You confirm your post is accurate so it’s up to each individual to read into it what they will.
Salary cap figures are out.
Niners have $3.5mil and Denver $11 mil even with Peyton Manning on the books.
This proves they were in position to get into a bidding war and if they had to absorb Manning’s contract either they cut some talent or restucture where they
enter Terry Donahue’s salary cap hell.
Hey, Company Man! I chuckle every time I say that name. I just sent ya a trade proposal in our ESPN league. Take a gander, would ya please? And I’m not talking goose. I like my pheasant under glass. 馃榾
Where’s my good buddy, Rob!?!?!? He wasn’t present for our draft, and it just so happens that he and I are going heads up in Week 1.
.
I have Aaron Rodgers as my top QB. But he’s playing our Niners. Should I bench him and start my pal Tannehill in his stead? I better call Matt Damon. He was Bourne yesterday. 馃槢
Start Aaron Del.
Just fear the guy that starts the 9er D.
New post is up.
