Summer Clearance Sale

The 2021 Schedule will be released this Wednesday. In the meantime, here’s a plug for longtime Outsider member NJ49er, who’s stumbled into a little side business lately. In his words:

“What started as a unique image for my motorcycle seat, has garnered much interest and has become a minor venture into “NJ49er” wear.

The image [featured below] is what is available as the player in red jersey and white jersey, so I can apply them to alternate apparel colors. I’ve also done the bike seat in the same image embroidered. From that came the rest.

The digital transfer is used mainly on T-shirts and sweatshirts. My problem has been getting the apparel via my vendor. Depending on interest going forward I’ll try to stock up on the popular color (Red/White) and size as needed.

I’ve embroidered several hoodies for the kids and Grandkids and they look outstanding.”

If any of you are interested in getting one of NJ’s offerings for yourself or as gifts, you can contact him for pricing, sizes, colors, etc. at:

In the pics below, you’ll notice the T-shirt is a bit rumpled. That’s because I wore it during my nightly repose. Skeebette suggested I iron it before taking these photos, but clearly I dodged that extra effort. Nice work, NJ!

Hey NJ- Nice stuff. I may get a Tshirt down the road. Good luck with the biz.

Skeebs- you were totally right about this being the most boring part of the season.

Skeebs thanks for the promo – Very kind.
    Much appreciated 😀

The Urban Meyer/Trent Baalke team making a sideshow type move in bringing in Tim Tebow as a backup TE.
Tebow has been out of football for at least 4 years. Bringing him in at age 33 as a TE is a bonehead move. Tebow has never demonstrated any ability to be a TE and it would be hard for him to play special teams as backup TEs are expected to do in the NFL. Being sentimental and giving a roster spot to a pet player goes against doing what is necessary to win in the NFL.

The Fricken NFL is working the schedule just like the draft. We just got week 1 but hold on to your seats because we will have week 2 pretty soon. What a bunch of crap.

  6. bullitNo Gravatar says:

There was a leak of the first 3 weeks.

    Week 1 At Detroit
    Week 2 At Philadelphia
    Week 3 Home Opener Packers

The Niners will be in Youngtown again in Sept for first two games

Billit- i think we play Tenn, in Nashville and I have seen it snow there in the winter.

  9. winderNo Gravatar says:

Over the last few days I have been wondering about Jimmy and how he is gonna attack this season. I have a feeling we are gonna see a Jimmy go balls out. He knows he’s gonna be auditioning for the whole year and I think we will see his best. And if that happens to be the case I would put a 1st and 2nd rd draft pick next to his name. Of course i just might be looking through my rose colored glasses but i think he has to exceed to get the real big bucks again.

  10. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

Jimmy’s a good QB and a good guy. I feel bad for him, being in this situation and knowing he won’t be a Niner much longer. But the injuries can’t be ignored. He’ll need to string together several years of injury free play before anyone believes they can count on him.

  11. winderNo Gravatar says:

I like him too. If Jimmy plays well some team will pay him. I was surprised that the Bears didn’t go after him. We should at least get a 2nd for him if he plays well. He has already proven he is a winner. He just has to stay healthy this year.

  12. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Different sport basketball but where would the Warriors be if they gave up on Stephen Curry? His early career was full of doubt because of his ankles and he was labeled as frail and injury prone.
Warriors believed in him and Curry has two MVPs and more importantly 3 NBA Championships. Without Curry the Warriors would not likely have won one title much less the 3.

Injuries are unfortunate. Jimmy’s injury against KC was unfortunate as he should have gone out of bounds but was hurt on an effort play trying to get a first down and taking the hit.

I think the problem with the Niners has been the backup QBs couldn’t sustain any playoff hopes and Lynch/Shanahan admitted it after last season.

A fact of the NFL is that all starting QBs will be hurt sooner or later. The one outlier has been Russell Wilson who has played all games in 9 seasons.

What happens if Jimmy G and the Niners wins the next two Super Bowls?
That would be good problem to have.

  13. bullitNo Gravatar says:

On NFL Live the other day it was said that the difference in the Chicago Bears and the Niner’s situations is that all the Niner players are behind Jimmy whereas the Bears have no loyalty to Andy Dalton and Fields can step in.

As long as Jimmy leads the team on the right track it would be hard to replace him. Lance has at least one year at the least to learn the offense.

  14. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Looks the the DBs drafted were impressive in the rookie camp

Thomas and Lenoir at CB with Lenoir being physical

box safety Hufanga might be this year’s 5th round steal channeling Tim McDonald

  15. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Vets supposed to report today for a minicamp.
The union has advised players not to show up. If the Vets are serious about making a run at the Super Bowl they won’t do it by doing a Tony Romo and going to Cancun.

  16. winderNo Gravatar says:

bullit- If the union says not to show up I doubt many will participate. My guess is a lot of them are already in SC just waiting to do something besides the weight room.

  17. winderNo Gravatar says:

NJ- give me some info on a white t-shirt with that emblem.

  18. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

Winder, you should probably contact NJ via his email:

  20. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

More than 80 players reported to 49ers headquarters in Santa Clara this morning for the start of Phase Two of the offseason program.

  21. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Niners cut WR Austin Proehl and sign ex Jag WR Marqise Lee

Ex Niners WR Trent Taylor signed with the Bungles.

  22. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

And now the 49ers have waived WR Marqise Lee and signed WR Bennie Fowler to a one-year.

  23. bullitNo Gravatar says:

    The big question on WRs

Is Jalen Hurd healthy and ready to play?

Trade talk on Julio Jones being available. To trade for him would severely impact the salary cap and it doesn’t appear the Niners have the draft capital to satisfy the Falcons.

  24. winderNo Gravatar says:

I read somewhere that the Raiders were trying to get both Rodgers and Jones. I hope they can do it. If anyone can screw that up it’s the Raiders.
