Fun House

The on-again off-again 49ers have a home game this Sunday. That usually means they’re on. The game is against the powerhouse Bengals, though, so maybe they’ll be off. However, Bengals’ QB Andy Dalton is injured and won’t play, so maybe they’ll be back on. At least the defense, anyway. It’s hard to tell if the offense is ever on or off since it’s always just plain bad.

One thing we know for certain: nobody really gives a shit! A win doesn’t salvage anything, and a loss is just one more for the road.

Well, Jed York and Trent Baalke and Jim Tomsula care. But they don’t count. They’re delusional idiots, spending all their time these days trying to decide on the best spin they can put out to explain, essentially, their own ineptitude.

Remember when the 49ers were a great team with great coaches and lots of fans who were complaining that the offense wasn’t averaging 27 points a game instead of 24? What are we averaging now? 14? 15?

When people talk about Tomsula as a Head Coach, they never talk about his schemes, or his offensive and defensive philosophies, or his game plans. No, the only thing anybody knows about him as a coach is him telling the players before the final game of the 2010 season to “go out and have fun.” And again before Blaine Gabbert headed out for overtime against the Bears: “have fun out there.”

That’s it. The sum and substance, whole enchilada, kit-and-kaboodle, entirety of Jim Tomsula, Head Coach.

And both York and Baalke swallowed that resume whole and decided he’d be a great head coach. Because that’s all they thought coaches needed to do. None of this Jim Harbaugh preparation, intensity, and obsession. No, just a butt patting dude was all the team needed.

How colossally stupid are these two franchise-destroying clowns?! It boggles the mind.

The best result for 49er fans would be for the team to lose its final three games. This would cause the most embarrassment to York and Baalke and ensure the most entertainment watching them try to pretend they are fixing things this coming offseason. But there won’t be many fans giving them the benefit of the doubt now, like there were last year.

We know York and Baalke would dearly love to not have to fire Tomsula and his staff after the season. A de facto admission that they screwed up in hiring him. But if they don’t, 2016 will almost certainly be one long howl of “When will they fire this idiot?!”

Bite the bullet at the end of the season, or eat shit all of next season, too. Choices, choices.

Since he’s gone anyway maybe we can trade Kappy to Cleveland for some picks and that would open the door for a QB. That has to be the top priority besides firing Baalke.

  2. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

How can you trade Kaepernick with those huge salary guarantees in his contract? I think it’s either keep him and redo a contract for much less money or cut him and let another team figure out what he’s worth.

  3. Sir Spitblood from GeneoushireNo Gravatar says:

You can’t trade Kaep. He walks. More talent leaving the building being replaced by guys like Eli Harold, Blake Bell, DeAndre Smelter and Bradley Pinion. Good times in store for the faithful.

  4. winderNo Gravatar says:

Hey, all that might be true but Cleveland still has history for doing stupid $hit for QB’s.

  5. Grumpy GuyNo Gravatar says:

I also think Kappy will refuse to play ball on renegotiating his contract, and he’ll end up forcing the 49ers to release him.

And I *wish* Baalke would get canned, but it is not going to happen this year. If we win even one more game, Jed will keep Tomsula too. And 2016 will make the living in 49erLand envy the Dead.

  6. Sir Spitblood from GeneoushireNo Gravatar says:

I think Baalke and Tomsula are going to stay for another year. I think the team could get blown out in every remaining game and those two will still be back. Why?

If Tomsula or Baalke are fired, Jed looks like even more of a fool and takes more heat than he is right now because he essentially sided with those two over Harbaugh. And when you’re taking a ton of fire in the press sometimes it’s best to do nothing, and that’s what I think York will do – nothing.

I was watching the NFL Network yesterday and they had the Browns’ Joe Thomas mic’d up for the game. Thomas was on the sidelines mid-game basically out-coaching the 49ers’ D (Mangini). It was hilarious to watch.

This group of morons will be back next year and that’ll only work to embed deeper a culture of suck in Santa Clara. Once suck gets ingrained in what you do, you’re in trouble. York is trouble.

The same banner will fly at Sunday’s game.

Jed reacted last time by trying to prevent the plane from it’s stadium flyby.

Jed is not a good poker player.

  8. Grumpy GuyNo Gravatar says:

Jed is not good at much of anything.

I could see total Armageddon next year. 2-14, 1-15. Panic in the streets. The Four Horsemen doing victory laps around Santa Clara. It could get World Class Ugly.

  9. Grumpy GuyNo Gravatar says:

Too bad Baghdad Bob got the rope. He could have had a nice second career working for the Yorks in PR. “Everything is fine! We’re in the hunt for the Super Bowl this next year! This will be the Mother of all games!!!”

And I thought he’d been living in one of the underground bunkers in DC cranking out press releases for zero all this time.

  13. Sir Spitblood from GeneoushireNo Gravatar says:

I’d be willing to bet the 49ers approached Kaep about renegotiating his contract and Kaep said no, leading the 49ers to bar him from the sidelines. It’s the same thing that happened with Harbaugh, and to a lesser extent Crabtree. Reportedly both Crabtree and Harbaugh were offered contracts and both men turned the 49ers down. Harbaugh was then smeared. Jed is just that kind of childish idiot to bar a guy who took the 49ers to the Super Bowl and NFC Championship game from the sidelines for three remaining meaningless games. What a puke of a human being.

  14. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

Bullit what’s your opinion on TX DT Hassan Ridgeway?
    6’3″/314 –
Seeing some good press on him as a potential steal in RD2-3 right now.

“Ridgeway can be overwhelming for the interior of an offensive line with his size and strength. He has put together some excellent games where he has beaten offensive tackles and guards to make plays in the backfield. The junior’s showed the ability to be a stout run defender and collapse the pocket in the pass rush. In 2015, Ridgeway recorded 36 tackles with 6.5 for a loss and 3.5 sacks. He’s beaten some double-teams and is a well-balanced defender.”

    Phil, for what it’s worth…

  16. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Ridgeway is similar to Malcom Brown.
He is a penetrating DT and has his share of TFL.
\This season he’s been dinged up.
He’s a JR so I am not sure if he’ll come out for the draft.
He’d be a good bargain in the 3rd rd.

  28. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

I wonder if those football savants over in the barnyard are still preaching Harbaugh had to go and Jed is a genius for promoting Tomsula?

as Lee sticks a punt inside the five against the Seahawks.

Hard to overcome giving away three touchdowns on 2 receiver-caused INTs and an 18 yard punt. Their backup QB didn’t do too much, but did not make any big mistakes either – no INTs, and only 6 incomplete passes all day. And that’s your ball game.

    Blame Jed.

  32. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

Did we convert on any third downs?

  33. Sir Spitblood from GeneoushireNo Gravatar says:

I think I might become an Oakland Raider or LA Charger fan. I’ve been looking for a new team. It might be time to make a decision. I don’t care if either team moves to LA. Santa Clara might as well be LA for me. I’ve been saying I’m not a 49er fan for as long as Jed York is gone, but York will be the owner for twenty years. I should drop that part of my expatriation. I’m just not apart of the 49ers anymore, and my days here are numbered.

  34. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

    Well, bye.

  35. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

Winder winds again. He’s the only one not pessimistic enough, yikes. So 4-10. It’s officially a steaming pile of crap and much much worse than the US economy/politics/culture. But hey there’s Star Wars. And we got Darth Vader, no Jedis for us.

Snoozed through this one fortunately. Interest in the Niners in severe decline when Levis is empty and 1 AM warriors can’t even be bothered for a 5 AM game, formerly a breeze.

Sad thing is this was foreseen when rumors first surfaced about trading the winning coach to Cleveland. Almost two years ago a few of us wailed on Blog X that would be the beginning of the end. This was met with vehement denial and finger pointing at the hard to get along with winning coach. Praise/defense for Balkey, York but no one one is praising now even the former supporters of York and Balkey. I won’t mention the eerie parallels to US foreign and domestic policies.

8-8 got Harbaugh fired or was it 12-4 that pissed off York so royally? Yeah it was the stinker year of 12-4.

    Morons, utter morons

Depends who’s speaking. If Jed, it’s a load of bullshit because he doesn’t have a clue what that entails. If Denise, well then, maybe we’ve got something to hope for, like a new job for the boy.
