Expected they’d lose this game, but at least it wasn’t a blow out.
Sad but true.
Defense balls out, Offense no balls.
Curious what the relationship is between McDaniel and Shanny?
2 chiefs in conflict?
Pathetic display, rookie QB or not.
AZ D stuffed everything like they had the play call.
Shanny is too predictable.
Sheesh: “QB Trey Lance has a left knee sprain, leaving his availability in question for the Colts game.”
Marvelous. Trying to Griffin him in his first start, Kyle?
Chucky quits in Vegas too – WTF?
As the starting QB of the team Lance needs to start avoiding the big hits. Otherwise he’s gonna have a short career.
Either Aiyuk or Sherfield have to step up because right now Deebo is the only receiving threat with Kittle on IR.
As for Gruden “I am not a racist”. Where have heard that before?
All his emails contradict his statement.
Most likely this is the last we see of Gruden both as a coach or football analyst
Gruden’s contract was guaranteed but i bet there is a morals clause somewhere in it. My guess is he loses 50 mil.
Aiyuk has been in the doghouse since TC.
From PFF and Maiocco:
Mike McGlinchey — 49.7
The right tackle had a rough go on Sunday. McGlinchey, who is usually a standout in the run blocking scheme, was stifled playing opposite of Watt much of the day and was graded a 37.4, the lowest on the offense.
In pass blocking, McGlinchey received a 66.1 grade allowing four pressures on 38 pass plays including one sack, two hits and one hurry.
Daniel Brunskill — 46.9
Brunskill had trouble on the right side along with McGlinchey. His 13.7 pass blocking score was the lowest on the offense after allowing one hit and one hurry. The right guard’s 60.0 in run blocking brought up his overall score.
*************
McGlinchey might not be a classic bust, but he was over-drafted and is one of those guys who is “just good enough to get you beat.” Old man J.J. Watt ate his lunch and stole his milk money yesterday. Brunskill is just not up to the task of being an NFL starter at guard. Banks was supposed to move him out, but Banks has done jack and shit in practice to justify a second round pick. None of the other (better) starters on the O-line were drafted here.
Teams that cannot draft offensive linemen are going to have a tough time in this league.
The 49ers are in disaster mode and it has to be on the FO. I have supported both KS, and Lynch from the beginning but the proof is in the pudding so to speak. Words are cheap. There is no help on the way and it looks like we employ a bunch of bullcrap player evaluators.
The last of the original 49ers is gone. From SFGate:
Ken Casanega, who was the oldest living 49er and the last surviving member of the franchise’s original 1946 team, died Sunday at 100 in Medford, Ore.
Casanega, an Oakland native who was an All-America halfback at Santa Clara when the now-defunct program was a national power, was among the NFL’s oldest alumni. The league’s alumni association doesn’t have complete records, but the Lions referred to Cecil Souders as the NFL’s oldest living player when he died Aug. 30. Souders was 46 days older than Casanega.
Casanega remained active for most of his life. At 97, he was still golfing and living in an independent senior facility in Monterey with his wife of 77 years, Helen, his college sweetheart who is 99. At 98, Casanega was the 49ers’ honorary game captain and handled the coin toss for the second time in three seasons.
Checking out PFF rankings. Interesting or bullshit?

But…they block well for both?
How’s that work?
Looks like the same sort of math my employer uses when it’s time for a bonus, voodoo horse shit.
Looks like we squander a lot of opportunities. Don’t need a bunch of stats to prove that. The Baalke syndrome is starting to show with this FO.
Curse of the Ohlone tribe can’t be ignored.
Get the Shaman Jed, make Peace, stop the curse.
10/18
The 49ers have signed LB Mychal Kendricks to a one-year deal. The team also signed OL Jon Halapio and RB Jacques Patrick to the team’s practice squad and released S Jared Mayden. The team opened the Injured Reserve practice window for RB JaMycal Hasty.
“49ers injury report for Week 7 vs. Colts:
OUT-DT Javon Kinlaw (knee), QB Trey Lance (knee), DT Maurice Hurst (calf)
Doubtful-T Trent Williams (ankle, elbow)
Questionable-LB Marcell Harris (thumb)
Jimmy Garoppolo is good to go.”
Start of season some were saying the Chefs would go undefeated in another Super Bowl run with a unstoppable offense.
They are losing to Titans 27-0 at the half. If they don’t come back they will be 3-4 this year.
So it ain’t over until Roseann Arnold sings.
New thread is up.
