Worst a Shires Tilt

Here it is! All you washed up QB and/or Trent Baalke fans, this is the game for you! Finally, a game the 49ers might actually win.

The Tampa Bay Bucs travel cross country, dragging their 2-3 record with them. 3,000 mile commute, wounded team, hot and cold second year QB, 49ers at home — yes, this is a winnable game. As winnable as any game left on the schedule.

This game also has the least appeal in terms of wasting your money buying a ticket to see such a drab and lifeless affair. Maybe we’ll see record low attendance. One more in-your-face moment for a Niner FO that has become the laughing stock of the league.

Tampa has the worst offense in the NFL and the Niners have the worst defense. What a pairing! Neither team’s number one RB will suit up for this game, either. Making it even more worstful.

After six games, it’s clear Chip Kelly isn’t the answer to the 49ers’ problems. He’s on pace to be a worse HC than Jim Tomsula! He’s been the answer to his own financial security, though. $24 million guaranteed. He’s making more money annually than Jim Harbaugh made. Jed York is outdoing himself in decision-making awfulness.

At what point do the Yorks pull the plug on their incompetent son? Or are they content to let him twist in the wind while turning the Niners into a Bill Bidwill the elder type of franchise?

In summary, the 49ers have the worst HC in the league, the worst DC, the worst owner, the worst GM, the worst players, and a sideline clown show to begin each game. SMFH.

Carlos Hyde is out of this game with a shoulder injury.
For a Niner offense that can’t pass that is huge.

Hyde continues to be injury prone and unable to sustain any momentum week to week.

    I miss Frank Gore.

  2. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Many stories out there that Chip Kelly’s offense doesn’t translate to success in the NFL.
Defenses are bigger, faster and quicker and Chip is asking the QB to be killed.

Many are suggesting that Chip might mutually agree to separate after this season and go back to the college ranks where there are some prime jobs opening up.

Getting up and tuning in for this 4 AM tilt against the woeful Bucs is more exciting than doing the same for the 1 AM anticipated shellacking in BUF. Will our boys sustain their excellence for a full 60 mins? One can hope but not expect an actual win. Say 28-27 or some such squeaker. At this point a one point win given our inability to stop the run would be welcome. I’m pulling for 2-14 because seeing looming failure every week has gotten real old. You with me on this?

Just want to point out the “Etch a Sketch” bunch at the Fairyland Blog Pyongyang branch.

Last season most there were declaring the Niners were a playoff team without Harbaugh and with Tomsula would improve on the 8-8 record of 2014. Chuckles acted like the Niners won the Super Bowl after beating the Vikes in the first game. It took about 3 weeks more for these hard sore fans to jump ship when reality slapped them in the face.

This year Chuckles was talking playoffs and suggested with multiple projections that the wins would outnumber the losses.
It took about 3 weeks for him to do the annual 180 degree flip flop.

Just look at the Fairyland blog in Aug/Sept and then look at it in Oct/Nov. This will tell you how much football these guys know.

  5. Grumpy GuyNo Gravatar says:

Without Hyde, we could lose this one by *more than* 29. This could be the week we hit rock bottom.

  6. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

One can only hope Kelly goes but I’m not counting on it given the general pigheadedness of the Yorks. Ditto for Balkey, Kap, Gabbert, Modkins, O’Neil etc.

BTW the BASG says here if York Jr gets dumped it won’t matter as long as the real owner sticks around = Denise York. Yoicks!

    http://www.bayareasportsguy.com/jed-york-has-caused-problems-but-he-isnt-the-problem-with-the-49ers/

  7. winderNo Gravatar says:

Bullit- there is always a lot to hope for in Aug. Even when you know things are not quite right. This year we had coaching change and that in itself was cause. But go ahead and keep repeating the “I told you so” mantra if that makes you feel better. There are still people who back Baalky and that is a concept that I really don’t understand. Die hard fans are a fickle bunch at times.

  8. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

Gotta love a blog that begins with a nice play on words and ends with a tag I have to look up.

We haven’t been able to stop anybody else’s backup RB. We’ll probably make that old Lions guy look as good as everyone else who puts 200 on us.

Kelly’s new super-amazing, super-cool, can’t-lose offense is putting stress on defenses, mostly ours.

Any of you guys who play the daily fantasy sports action know that Evans is a top rated receiver this weekend. Jacquizz not far behind in the RB ranks. Kerley and Smith, not so much. Seems they expect shithead and Davis to run for the points.

Tampa Bay only 2 point favorites on the road. Projected score about 22-24.

  9. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

NJ49er, I didn’t see a problem with Jones’ release and the resulting contact initiated by Sherman.

Jones gives him a double move and begins his release to the inside. Sherman’s reaction is to reach out to hold him. Jones pushes his helmet away and sort of swim moves past him to the outside.

The head linesman is right there on top of the action. Sherman didn’t say a word about it when he was defending his holding and twisting of Jones preventing the catch.

what do the Seahawks fans think? The receiver gets jammed and held on his release and just goes down without a fight? That would be nice for them. Maybe they’ve just been spoiled by all the homer calls. “Look you guys! Jones is fighting back! How unfair! How unfair!”

Their biggest problem was they sent a LB on a blitz and the Falcons didn’t leave any extra blockers in to help. And Ryan still had nearly five seconds to hit on the deep play.

  10. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Yup NF some of us alleged old raciss white guys still got us some moves.

    SMFH.

  11. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Speaking of moves- how about our long time ally going full commie over here? But of course we DON’T have enemies or need much of a military per the naive globalist view. Shit keeps up the Prez will order all us Americanos OUT. Can’t wait

  12. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

But really the PI Prez Duterte is tilting China-wise because he sees a weakly led US and a strongly led China. Who you gonna choose? Can’t blame him but people need to see how WEAK the US is perceived worldwide under current leadership.

Hmmm, weak leadership, where else have we seen that around here? How’s that working out? Yeah it never works out well. 1-5…

  13. SpitbloodNo Gravatar says:

The Bucs are going to clean the 49ers’ clock. Niner players quick week 3. Now they’re just feeding their families, and that’s the culture York created when he chose friendship over winning. Winston is going to throw for 500 yards and 4 touchdowns without Vincent “Action” Jackson. And he’ll do it without the muscle hamster. It’s easy to do when the other team gives up. The only intrigue about this year is if Harbaugh can pull off an upset, beating Alabama.

  14. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

NF, a guy’s got to have a little fun on this gruesome beat. I think I picked up that tag from Grumpy somewhere along the way.

  15. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

    Hey Phil,

How much of that tough crazy talk is bluff and bluster for the benefit of the Chinese?

Odd way to settle the Spratly business. Maybe the Chinese will buy out the other gov’ts involved, too. I always figured them to be more of a diplomacy by threat and force sort of regime but could be they’re hedging their bets in case Trump gets in and scuttles their US ‘deals’. SMFH!

  16. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

    Hey Skeebers,

Damn right. You’d be surprised how much fun it is to root for crushing defeat. It feels like payback.

I like the shorthand. I’m gonna steal it, too. Hell, I already have.

  17. bullitNo Gravatar says:

    Winder

You predicted 3-13 right? I’m a phking optimist predicting 5-11.
With no help in the receiving corps and fingers crossed that Hyde doesn’t get hurt and hoping that the Oline won’t suck as bad as last year, not to mention mediocrity at QB how can anyone predict playoffs for this team?
And we haven’t even mentioned the defense who might suck even more.

The regression has been so bad that the Niner’s MVP might once again be the kicker or the punter.

I still watch and support the team but I’ve seen this movie before and as an ardent fan I’ll call it as it is from the get go and not do an about face every year when things go south.

  18. bullitNo Gravatar says:

    It just keeps getting better.
Now Torrey Smith is having back issues and it is unknown if he can play this Sunday.

  19. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Yes NoFear no doubt China wants to make as much hay now before a possible Trump presidency changes the lopsided status quo to something more fair to US interests. PI is just going for the ride looking for their advantage no doubt. DJT will yank their (Chicom) old economic chain to enforce compliance with fair trade. Hillary will start a war it is feared or continue the ruinous to US status quo.

Again like the Niner mess we have a situation of weak leadership or a possibility of positive change. I have no clue how the Niners will pull out of this current malaise tho.

  20. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

In the never ending quest for cheap laffs surrounding our alleged football team I’m proposing two possible name changes for the ownership family =

#1 = The Yoicks! This emphasizes the slapstick nature of these bozos beclowning our favorite team into the circus it has become. And good job there Yoicks!

#2 = The Yocks! Here the Yocks! is literally how the culture over here says “Yuck”. Yocks means really, really bad and gross. This too applies as in “The Yocks! family really screwed the pooch with this team, eh bro?”

You now have options for denigrating the alleged leadership of the alleged football team. You are very welcome.

  21. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

It has begun to dawn on Blog X that we may have a little problem with give a shit ownership with the Yoicks

  22. SpitbloodNo Gravatar says:

Do you guys know what the 49ers are going to do for the rest of the year? They’re gonna lay down. They’re gonna lay down quicker than those prostitutes NoFear finds on Craigslist.

  23. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Spit we can’t get no coaches as the best of the good go elsewhere. Ditto with FAs; we get the lower tier. Our drafts are run by Balkey, what more can I say? The Yocks! own this outfit and have no clue. The long fall since 49 Wins is in progress and we are far from turning it around. We know all this around here and so are left with the main option of laughing about the situation.

This is the ‘acceptance stage’ of facing reality. “Do we suck or do we blow?” Dunno. But clearly this is who we are and it is what it is = what we predicted would happen when the Yoick! arrogantly dumped the winning coach.

  24. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Bakkentom the turning point in the Bills game was apparently the failed runs at 3/1 and 4/1 with Davis up the gut. Great play calling. Why we didn’t play action on 3/1 to get the needed one yard I do not understand….coaching?

  25. bakkentomNo Gravatar says:

What if we keep Baalke and Kelly in 2017.

Spend this offseason setting up for a new GM/HC for 2018. Use this draft to finally nail the D. Use FA dollars on WR and QB.

Selling SF as a desired destination for a new GM would be a slam dunk. 2018 draft for GM to build the O.

  26. bullitNo Gravatar says:

  28. NoFear49erNo Gravatar says:

Denise gave him a time out. They’re fresh out of scapegoats. Full up on ass kissers though.

She knows he’s a worthless spoiled punk. But he pushed the stadium through.

No York gives a shit about any football team. We had a bunch here that did but it seems they couldn’t get along with the princess and his wet nurses.

  29. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Niners are paying the Chipster $6 mil a year for 4 years.
Phily still owes Kelly $6.5 mil a year for the next 2 years.

So Kelly is making $12.5 mil for the next 2 years. If his offense doesn’t get any better he’s the biggest swindler since Bernie Madoff.

Lil Jed could’ve kept Harbaugh by giving him a bump of $1 mil a year with a contract extension but the ego refused to even give him a penny despite all the success.

Yes lil Jed I hold you accountable. The only banner I see you raising is a white flag.

  30. SkeebersNo Gravatar says:

Squeaker in Michigan, but Harbaugh’s boys pulled it out 41-8.

  31. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

  32. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

The UM game last week vs Rutgers also had me worried but the Wolverines pulled it out somehow, 78-0

  34. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

Here’s a real simple timeline regarding the struggles of our 49ers.
Head Coaching changes top the list.
It starts and ends with instability/impatience/ineptitude created by Ownership –

    Bill Walsh 1979-1988
    George Siefert 1989-1996

    Yorks take Ownership in 2000

    Steve Mariucci 1997-2002
    Dennis Erickson 2003-2004
    Mike Nolan 2005-2008

    Jed York appointed CEO

    Mike Singletarty 2008-2010
    Jim Tomsula 2010 (Interim)
    Jim Harbaugh 2011-2014
    Jim Tomsula 2015
    Chip Kelly 2016

  35. SpitbloodNo Gravatar says:

I think we should change this blog to the Michigan and Jim Harbaugh blog. Let’s call it the “Michigan Way Outsider” or ORWDRJ (Old Racist White Dudes Reject Jed), or Harbaugh’s the Man!

With Ohio State’s loss, Michigan will move to number two. And beating Alabama is no small feat …. or hands (sorry Trump and all your racist supporters who will deny they were suckered in by your racist chants days after your de-feet).

Unless Alabama chokes, Michigan will not beat Alabama. But it’ll be a fun game to watch. Harbaugh’s stacked the Michigan schedule this year with cream puffs, but that’s how you build a college football program. The last game against Ohio State will be interesting because Ohio State will drop to 5 and with 1 loss, they’ll be a dangerous team playing with nothing to lose.

Harbaugh’s got his team #2 after only being in South Bend for 22 months. Not bad. He’ll have a championship in a few years.

Honestly, why do any of you watch 49er games? The 49ers have been layin’ down since week 3. Here’s what each player on the 49ers is honestly thinking – “Don’t get hurt. Perform to contract. Don’t get caught slackin’ off on camera during games. Don’t get hurt.”

Who spends time watching that crap? I told ya’ll to stop watching two years ago. Michigan games are where it’s at.

  36. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Left vs Right is so off target. The current issues are The People/Main Street/Nationalists vs the DC elitists/Wall Street/Uniparty = establishment Dems/Pubs/GLOBALISTS. Left vs Right? That’s bait for dupes who will not see the actual game. Wake up. Rayciss? Pure hackery and equally irrelevant/false

Stick to football. You are much better at that

  37. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Kawakami: Warriors, 49ers have switched places…

    http://tinyurl.com/hu2mmwu

LEADERSHIP similarly lacking will continue to yield similar results.

  38. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

For what it’s worth, we’ll likely screw up our Draft slot this week vs TB.

    9ers – 27
    TB – 21

Assuming of course our Run D isn’t looking to make ‘Quizz the second coming of Shady McCoy.

  39. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Kap is getting paid 6 times more than Gabbert’s $2.5 mil contract. So the expectations have to be much higher too.
It can’t be that he is marginally better.
Kap is being paid as an elite QB and that is the standard that I hold him to. He must play up to the level of his contract or he shouldn’t be on the roster.
Too many years wasted and too opportunities squandered waiting for Kap to reach his potential while the roster turns over.

  40. bullitNo Gravatar says:

I’m sure most here are conflicted.
AS much as I love the Niners it will be really hard to go through another 5-11 or 6-10 season which gives you a draft choice in the teens.
It prolongs the mediocrity which will blur the lines in canning Baalke.

Chip Kelly hasn’t shown anything innovative to affirm his reputation as offensive genius. What worked in college and high school doesn’t translate into the NFL because of the size and speed of players. In college it was easier to turn the corner on the edges. Defensive players in the NFL are sideline to sideline quick and attacking the flanks doesn’t work against almost all teams.

Kelly might be one of the college coaches like Saban, Spurrier, Petrino and Holtz who found that their coaching style was not tailored for the Pro game.

  41. Sammy Davis Jr.No Gravatar says:

The worst thing imaginable just happened to that Krazy Khaki Koach from Michigan yesterday…THE Ohio St. University lost to that State college best known for an old coach who batted an eye for a fellow old coach who is best remembered for taking showers with underage boys and fornicating the phuck out of ’em!

Michigan plays AT OSU in the final game of the year. No way in hell does Urban Meyer lose that game to The Big Game Choke Artist, a.k.a. Jim Harbaugh. That win will give OSU the tie-breaker in the Big 10 East and vault them into the Big Ten Championship
    Game.

Jimbo will end the year will an L. A big freaking L-O-S-E-R. Never ever a good thing in the rankings and in the eyes of the selection committee.

Jimbo and his Wolverines will be left out of the College Playoffs entirely. The four teams will be ‘Bama, Washington, Clemson and Ohio St.

You know who I feel sorry for the most? Jimbo’s wife. He must beat her something silly with a sock full of rocks to let out all of his anger and frustration for losing all of those big games.

Can’t wait to see that video when it comes out in a few years that was secretly taped by an unsuspecting neighbor. But will come of Jimbo’s malfeasance? Nothing. He can still win games. He’ll get a job somewhere else.

You think Jimbo is apologetic of the possible consequences of beating his wife? As Daffy Duck so eloquently said, “Consequences, Schmonsequences, as long as I’m rich.”

  42. bullitNo Gravatar says:

In other words this team is a long ways off from being a Super Bowl contender.

We all knew if Kelly’s offense didn’t get first downs efficiently it would expose the defense. That prediction is coming true. Ifv the offense can’t execute, it totally hangs the defense out to dry.

The Niners will be better off if they clean hosue and have a new GM, Coach and QB. They can let Chip go on that mutual agreement back to college.

  43. bullitNo Gravatar says:

    Denny

You say Jimbo beats his wife (untrue) and you are a master baiter constantly beating yourself (rimshot)

  44. winderNo Gravatar says:

bullit- I agree. The only way it’s gonna change is to thoroughly clean house. We need direction and a plan. It will take some time but that really is ok. We need some people that can evaluate talent.

  45. bullitNo Gravatar says:

Yeah Winder it just goes to show how limited Baalke’s vision is that there is no QB on the practice squad.
All 3 QBs on the roster are potential FAs next season.
I am watching Kevin Hogan in the Browns game leading them to a TD.
I would’ve pounced on him when KC waived him but Baalke just sat on his hands.

Hogan has skills thatcan be developed and make him a potential starter in the NFL.

It bothers me that Baalke has failed the Niners and ignored the QB position. Given the legacy of great QBs on this that is shameful and cause for dismissal.

  46. Sammy Davis Jr.No Gravatar says:

Bullit, you are the worst joke teller/interpreter in the history of this blog. You don’t understand it’s set-up (The worst thing imaginable just happened to that Krazy Khaki Koach from Michigan yesterday). You don’t comprehend the structure of the joke (the actual football results and upcoming schedule that are undeniable facts that later help emphasize the jokes and punchline). You haven’t a clue when it comes to hyperbole (wife beating). The punchline? Need I continue?

But your worst fault is that you’re just not plain funny at all. You wouldn’t know funny even if you R.S.V.P’d it to come punch you in the goddamn throat on a fall Saturday afternoon.

Oh, that’s right. You’d be too engulfed watching Texas football. Hook ’em …ooops! That loss yesterday to K. St. dropped you to 3-4.

Your horns couldn’t hook a piranha during an all-out feeding frenzy even if they were using the fresh flesh of Jimbo’s wife as bait after he decapitates her when losing to OSU later this year.

    “Here endeth the lesson.”

  58. SpitbloodNo Gravatar says:

Do you old racist white dudes wanna know why the 49ers are the least penalized team in the NFL? It’s because the NFL wants close games. If a team needs help in the 4th quarter to keep the game close, the refs will throw some flags on the opposition. No team playing the 49ers ever needs the ref’s help. The NFL is totally rigged. It’s a crappy game. Go watch some college football.

  59. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

That’s true Spit but dang it, where else am I gonna get 4 hours of distraction for the price of my web connection? 64. Grumpy GuyNo Gravatar says:

Tampa Bay is the worst offense in the NFL?

Well they just rang up 249 yards rushing on us.

    513 total yards.

And Kappy? 16 of 34, under 50 percent again, 143 yards, one TD, one INT. 56.37 rating on the day. More of the same old shit.

No, Skeebs: WE are the worst offense in the NFL, AND the worst defense in the NFL. With all due apologies to the Browns, we suck more than anyone.

  65. bullitNo Gravatar says:

I still don’t see anything innovative about Chip’s offense as it’s the same week after week.

I also don’t see any halftime adjustments as obviously on this losing streak the Niners are getting pummeled after the intermission.

  67. bullitNo Gravatar says:

If your LBs suck why wouldn’t you consider going back to a 4-3 defense?
Clearly the defense is on their heels and are more reactionary than taking the fight to the opponent and dictating to them.
Very true if you call a blitz they better get there or your secondary is exposed like today when Winston almost always found an open outlet.
Something needs to change or last year under Tomsula will look like a success if you compare the seasons.

Granted, he’s a Rookie, and learning on the job but, it’s also being suggested that others are out of position behind him.
    Face it.
We’re looking at a LONG season of learning new things on both sides of the ball.
Not the least of which is, who the eff is going to run this vaunted Chip Kelly Offense beyond the first Qtr of play?
Kaep wouldn’t know a Pocket if knelt beside him during The Anthem.
He simply abandons what should be the designed protection on any given play.
I think Ronde Barber said it as well, he runs into the sack.
Sh!t, we almost didn’t get our obligatory 3 points in the Second half either.
Grab a few more cold ones. This isn’t going to get better anytime soon.

Cohn Jr lays the wood on most all facets of the team’s effort today. It did seem when Burbridge rammed into Kerley and caused the fumble that the team did quit. Looks like a pattern. At least we have something to talk about. Yoicks!

    Cohn’s Grades = (abbreviated)

QUARTERBACK: D. How is Kaepernick an upgrade?
    RUNNING BACKS: F+. Sad.
    WIDE RECEIVERS: F-. Strange.
    TIGHT ENDS: F. Laughable.
    OFFENSIVE LINE: D. Unacceptable.
DEFENSIVE LINE: Z. (Z?! Phil sez YUP)
    LINEBACKERS: F. Fail.
    SECONDARY: F. Brittle. (Re: Robinson)
SPECIAL TEAMS: F-. This team is soft, much softer than it was under Jim Tomsula.
    COACHES: Z-.

Let it burn at this point Phil.
Jed just needs to let Chip/Gamble/Baalke whomever, just put the pieces in place and leave it alone.
Nothing is going to work in this Offense until Chip gets a QB that can handle all aspects of his vision.
Kaep can’t see what’s in front of him Defensively, nor deliver the passes required to make it work.
This is about rebuilding from the ground up now.
Coaches are still trying to teach new players in a new scheme on both sides of the ball, and, it’s not being absorbed very well thus far.
I simply don’t think O’Neil is going to be the answer to what ails us. We’ll see?

Too many guys on Defense look lost out there, though they all seem to buy into the concepts for some reason.
Can they all be that unteachable?
I have no clue what they’re doing either, beyond getting embarrassed of course.
Offense isn’t helping them one bit either.
Jed’s answer will be to blame someone of course. Anyone but himself.
Changing Coaches, GMs whatever it might come to, isn’t going to provide instant results.
    This takes time and patience.
Something these morons don’t understand apparently.
No QB. No Offense. For starters.
How many QBs did Chip discard or change in Philly?
I’m beginning to think Chip is in way over his head in the NFL.
Good news for Chip is, Jed is already paying Tomsula to fish.
He’s unlikely to add another Ex-HC to the boat anytime soon, without a ‘mutual parting’ arrangement.

  71. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

I like the idea Cosell proposed a short time back.
See whether Belichick would deal Garappolo.
Chip needs a quick/accurate signal caller.
Neither Gabbert or Kaep seem to fit what he’s looking for/needs.
Until we pass effectively, we won’t run.
Chip needs a passing attack that Defenses have to respect.
We can’t get into any sort of up-tempo attack with guys that can’t react and deliver quickly and accurately.
He has to see what Ponder can do before this season ends too.
Sh!t, empty the bench, and audition everyone, until they can figure out WTF they’re going to have to shop for.
Right now, the ’17 QB Class doesn’t impress me.
Defense looks to be the strongest area thus far, which is fine be me.
Slow people down, keep things close, give your Offense a chance.

I say fire them all right now. Let the equipment guy be the HC until we can find someone. And let the Gatorade be GM he couldn’t be any worse.

They’re throwing in the towel on the season and trying to salvage what they can. I just hope they’re planning on stockpiling those picks for a new guy that can turn them into some players who can actually, you know, play instead of protesting the unfairness of making all that cash to play a game and go home safe and rich.

The anthem-kneeler was auditioning for his next job? Maybe something in turf maintenance.

btw, eff Kaepernick, Harold and Reid along with Tartt, Bethea, Reaser and Robinson and the team they pretend to play for. It’s just a platform for them now. The protest is what they’re here for. It couldn’t be football.

  76. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

Joe deserves a better situation than this garbage heap IMO.
Bowman too, should he decide to try to battle back from another lengthy rehab.
Flaming circus of incompetence from every angle.
‘Quizz looked like AP out there today.
    What a fiasco.

  77. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

See if Chip can actually do something NFL-worthy with a couple years worth of high Draft Picks.
    I’m having my doubts TBH.

  78. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Wow Staley, but at this point how can we be surprised? Last year Tomsula seemed like the bottom but little did we know it was only one more step down. Look out below. Bakkentom is still in the running for most accurate prognostication if we ah, run the table to 1-15.

Kelly is a hardheaded SOB who wants to implement his system and will keep all likely pieces until enough functional players/coaches are in place. THEN he can figure out if Kap is a piece of crap or not? Chip, got news for ya = we have already seen peak Kap years ago and your system won’t fix what ails him. Couple more games of colinoscopies and then please put Ponder in. Please.

    Ponder Ponder Ponder!

  79. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

Phil if I’m Joe I’d be dancing for a chance to finish my career with some dignity.
Thankfully, Frank served his time with honor in SF as well, and moved on.

Belichick could use a solid LT and, as Cosell has suggested, Garoppolo might be a worthy candidate to run Chip’s Offense.
Whether we’re hell-bent on a Pick is the question?
Garoppolo and a later Pick? I’d do it. Just to give Joe a chance for a Ring.
As many of us have speculated, Kaep isn’t quick-twitched enough, or accurate enough, to run an Offense of Chip’s creative thinking.
At least they managed to alleviate themselves of injury repercussions into future months.
He’s as good as gone at this point.
Agree. See what Ponder can do, sometime before this season ends face down in the boneyard.

  80. NJ49erNo Gravatar says:

Could Scot McCloughan have need for an ex-Pick of his in DC?
    He’s got Vernon already.

  81. Phil fanNo Gravatar says:

Yes NJ, a #1 or a trade for a likely QB prospect. See what Scottie has to offer. I like it.
